Paddle Greene is a local, non-commercial project, and most of its guides are still labeled Desk-researched - built from public sources, waiting for someone to stand at the launch and confirm the details. That someone is usually a reader. If the site has helped you pick a paddle, here is how to push some help back, from two minutes to a whole afternoon.
Send a launch update (the single most useful thing)
Paddled somewhere we cover? A quick report through the update form is the engine that improves these guides: parking as you found it, the launch surface, what was open, what surprised you, and when you were there. Dates make reports twice as useful. The guide to useful updates shows what a great one looks like - and none of it requires expertise, just honesty about what you saw.

Add photos
A phone photo of a parking lot settles questions a paragraph cannot. The launch, the carry path, the parking area, and especially posted signs - fees, hours, rules - are the shots that upgrade a guide fastest. Paddle the verification queue
If you want your next outing to count double, pick a spot from the field review queue - the launches and lakes where firsthand eyes are needed most. Every guide also lists its own "what still needs verification" items, and they are all gathered on the open questions page, so you can scan the whole list and pick one you already know the answer to.
Correct us
If a guide says something the ground contradicts - a gate that is locked, a fee that changed, a launch that is not where we say - tell us via the form or the contact page. Being corrected is the system working: we would rather fix a page today than have it mislead someone tomorrow.
Be good at the launch
Help that costs nothing: the habits that keep access open. Clean, Drain, Dry between waters, and the ramp and parking courtesies in launch etiquette. Access to several spots we cover runs on goodwill, and every paddler spends or builds it.
A few ground rules
- We do not publish sensitive access. If a put-in is informal or fragile, tell us that too - we handle those carefully rather than mapping them for everyone.
- Community reports never masquerade as our reviews. Your report is labeled as yours; a Paddle Greene field visit is labeled as ours.
- There is nothing to buy. The site is non-commercial - the only currency it runs on is accurate local knowledge.
